From Villa Lesa to the Erno Waterfall

The Erno torrent rises on the slopes of Mottarone and, after having carved a deep and very green valley, flows into the Lago Maggiore in Solcio. Its waters, which form clear, crystalline pools, were used in the 19th century to power mills, hammers, and a spinning mill. In the surrounding woods,
Roe deer, deer, and squirrels are present. An easy nature walk and an industrial archaeology trail.
